Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

Working closely with Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department, the Young Families Program provides Women, Infants and Children (WIC) services on our campus for our clients' convenience. Our two programs build healthy families by providing supplementary food in addition to nutritional education and support to young, parenting families. We also provide our clients with certifications and voucher pickup.

We work with our Lincoln Family Medicine Center pregnant and parenting patients who need WIC services. Whenever possible, we consolidate their WIC appointments with their monthly doctor’s appointment by scheduling the two together. Just let us know if you'd like us to make those appointments on the same day.

Regular WIC services are available on our campus every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm, with no appointments between 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm. But you can reach staff in our office every week day.

To make changes in your checks or with appointment dates, please call us at 488-6511.

While most States use the maximum guidelines, States may set lower income limit standards. A person or certain family members who participate in other benefits programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicaid, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families automatically meet the income eligibility requirement.

Income eligibility is automatic if you receive Medicaid/Kids Connection, Food Stamps, or ADC.
